Hello guys,
I have a strat but it's parts are so strange, possibly replaced by the previous owners. But anyway if you help me to identify the parts I will be grateful.

the fretboard: according to the label it is made in 1984 in USA, however as far as I know at that time fretboards weren't 22 frets. It also has Schaller locking tuners.

and the body. I have no idea what does the stamp on the neck pocket means.

electronics is even stranger what are those two switches for:

To me it looks like you have a fairly early American Standard that has been highly modified by a previous user. I couldn't see any date stamps (or handwritten dates) on either the body or the neck, but it is well documented that Fender used up some existing headstock decals with "E4xxxxx" (i.e. 1984) serial numbers on the early ones that were really built any time between late 1986 (circa October/November) and roughly mid-1988. You don't show the body route but it should have the swimming pool routing.

Okay, now to the mods - they added the locking tuners you mentioned, the LSR roller nut, some type of Fender CS pickups, and some kind of preamp. How it is wired up with those two toggle switches is anyone's guess.

It's an interesting piece; my best suggestion is to try to find the previous owner and see what they say everything does when fully functional.

Edit - forgot to turn off notifications

Thanks bro. You really relieved me at least it is original. Yes, it has swimming pool routing.

No problem; as I say it's highly modded but it appears to still have the original neck, body, and trem (and maybe even the pickguard).

It's is very obvious someone has replaced the tuners and the pickups. Custom shop pickups didn't exist 30 years ago. The switches are also added to probably a mix in different pickup combinations beyond the five way switch. Sure it's an '84 Strat...

No it isn't a 1984 Strat; a "real" 1984 Strat would have 21 frets, the output jack on the pickguard, and that FreeFlyte trem. From the 22 frets, angled jack and 2-post trem it's an early American Standard from the time frame I mentioned (late fall 1986 to mid 1988) as FMIC used up the left-over headstock decals from the CBS era for the early ones. You can even find a handful of the early ones with "E3xxxxx" serial numbers. Granted most "real" 1984s will have the "E3xxxxx" numbers but you will occasionally find one with an "E4xxxxx" serial number.

Meant that as a question, not a statement....

Oh, and that funky circuit board looks almost like an on board tube screamer.

Oh, sorry  I misread it.

I agree the circuit board is some kind of preamp.

Trying to place a battery in that pickguard is just a pain in the $@!. I am so pissed off that I can barely holding myself to not to cut all those wires.

I have a preamp on my Tele. I had a battery box installed on the back of the guitar.

Also I own a heavely modded '79 Strat that I love. Plays and sounds great so I could care less about the resale value. I picked it up for a song.
