Hi guys! Should have signed up long ago since I have owned Fenders for quite some time now. Guess these things happen when one is in some sort of a need hey...

Well, I have aquired a Fender MIJ from 96/96 maple neck with serial starting with UXXXXXX. Not sure how to post pictures but you guys are the experts, how do I know its a standard or RI? Can I see this easily? What are the supposed specs? Any tips, info, stories to share regarding this model? Everything constructive is appreciated!

ps. If anyone can determine the model, just let me know and I can email you some photos.

To upload pictures, first you have to put them on a site like flickr or photbucket, then click the pic and where is says share (or something similar) and look for the IMG code link and copy and paste it in your post. If no picture appears, highlight it and use the "img" button up at the top of the post, it should then add the img to the front and back of what you copy and pasted. HTH.

As for your guitar, kind of hard to tell without pics. The reissues will well have older guitar type specs...7 1/4 neck radius, vintage style tuners, staggered polepieces on the pickups, and depending on the reissue, 8 or 11 screws on the picguard, and a butterfly type clip string retainer that is very close to the Fender "F" on the headstock.
