Gorgomyte is a non-toxic lemon oil formula!

It's supposed to clean tarnished chrome well too, but I haven't tried that yet.

...what it does to frets and rosewood boards, again, ah-mazing!

It doesn't really matter what cleaner or lubricant you use as long as you use something suitable for the job. Regular maintenance is regular maintenance. Olive oil, lemon oil, motor oil, whatever. I usually just use lemon oil. Lemon oil and a toothbrush will work for anything... I use lemon oil to clean my trems with great success. Works great on metals.

As for the OP I tune up to pitch using locking tuners. If you're having issues, it could be a bad tuner. I'd take it back to the store... they might be willing to switch the bad one out.

My Deluxe stays in tune really well. So well that I'm even considering the Schaller + LSR + Floyd combo on my next custom order. A Floyd nut predates the LSR + Schaller which I'm starting to think is superior. It's also a cleaner looking installation and gets in the way less.

I'll betcha a buck if you try Gorgomyte, you'll say..."sum bhitch -- it works."

And, if you use locking tuners on a guitar manufactured with non-locking tuners, you'll need to adjust the back of the nut to compensate for less wraps or use more wraps to get smooth performance from the locking tuners.

Don't know about the tips how to bolt the tuners or something like that, but the Deluxe Fender for it's price must be in perfect condition with perfect tuners. Didn't you think that one tuner could be waster?

The tuner *could* be a waster, but the string slot of that particular string could be off too!
