Ive been hearing good things about these guitars; especially the pickups. They say are '69 vintage pickups. does anyone know if they can handle distortion well and if the guitar is versatile overall?

I played one of these in guitar center, but some guy was playing metal obnoxiously so i couldnt hear myself. .....just so you all know.

This is an absolutely WONDERFUL axe!!! This IS going to be my next GAS purchase! :D I usually mod a guitar a bit when I buy one....but this one is good enough to LEAVE ALONE!! It handles distortion great!! WELL worth the money. I hate to sound like a snob....but I'm impressed with this Mexican's quality!!

ya, the mexican models lately have been really well made, at least the ones i have played... and as for distortion, it should handle it easily.... i have a strat with noisless pickups and it sounds good with distortion, so a normal set of pups should do just fine

I have a Classic Player '60s Strat in Three-Tone Sunburst. The pickups and build quality are amazing. The guitar sounds good with distortion too.

I just bought this one and I love it... I am thinking about changing the pups though...

Neck: Custom Shop '69
Middle: Fat 50s
Bridge: Texas Special

Anyone have an opinion on this combo?
