Started off as my Luthier's Strat for testing new pickups. I was testing this when he had EMG Active Single coils... I didn't like the pickups, but I loved the neck thickness and feel. Bought the guitar, gave him back the loaded Pickguard.

Stripped it clean (just had spray paint from Home Depot in an Orange Peel finish). Used Duplicolor lacquer primer, paint, and clearcoat. I used boiled linseed oil for the neck. Added an Allparts Fender Tremolo, Wilkinson Vintage Style Tuners, Kluson Adapter Bushings, eBay brand input jack plate. CTS 250k Pots, Switch craft input jack, and Seymour Duncan APS-2 Single Coils and Fender American 3ply Mint Green PG.

I did the whole project for way too much, but it was a lot of fun.

Final job ; photos are too dark to have an opinion. If you like it that's the most important.

I like it, the paint job looks like it needs a little buffing out
But looks good, I like the color

I intentionally left it unbuffed... Looks vintage like on stage. My intent is to keep the finish thin so it will wear out and give me that natural road worn look of vintage strats from the day.

I'd like to try it again. It was the first time and didn't go as planned. But the body is not what I hoped for so maybe buy a new body and give it another shot.

Detroitblues...I like it, especially with the Tigers "D" in the name! Nice.

Just a little Old English for you.... The logo was just a gold print on a clear presentation film sheet cut out and placed on the headstock, then covered up with several layers of clear coat.
