I'd go for option b), but with a second hand Mexican Strat instead of the new Squier.

Also, although the VF-1 is really nifty, it's worth looking out for a used Boss GT-3 or GT-5 - they go rather cheaply, the overdrives are analog as opposed to the digital stuff on the more modern multi effects, and in my opinion are much more useful for the Floydesque stuff.

The modulations in particular are rather good on the early GTs, and you can get some very Gilmourish tones with a bit of tweaking. I seem to recall them having a very handy 'dotted eighths' tap tempo function for the delays, which is immensely useful for things like 'Run Like Hell', etc. Might be making that up entirely though, it's been a while since I sold my GTs!

Of course, that gives you floor control as well, and the wah is actually not that bad if you tweak the settings a bit, saving a bit more cash until you're more certain of what you want.

I used a GT-3 straight into the board on a few rather large sessions, and I've seen them sat on some very large stages used by some very big name artists, so you might not even ever grow out of it. You'd be surprised how often my GTs got taken to gigs instead of my carefully constructed board of expensive pedals!

Hehe. Forgive my lack of wisdom, but "GT" is some kind of pedal model or something?
Now refering to the used gear and etc, I am a bit afraid of buying things, especialy guitars, in second hand because they may come with damage, but I'm willing to try to buy a Fender Mexican, as you say, instead of the Squier, ofc, for the same price. I have been researching and found a Fender for 350€. Am I allowed to post those kind of links here?
Now the floor control, when I tried the pedals plugged into the Vf-1, I felt so good to change sounds so quickly with my foot! And the Wah... oh dear... :D

Gold Top usually, but in this case it's a type of multi effects unit by Boss...
