Had my new strat set up for 10-46 GHS Nickel Rockers. Didn't care for the sound, so have been trying different brands - Ernie Ball Slinky's , D'Addario Nickle wrap XL's, etc.

When I switched strings, I picked up a lot of fret buzz mainly at the first fret past the roller nut. I had the technicians adjust most of it out, but specifically on the A (5th) string, I am still getting buzz when I play an open string. Very annoying! Besides taking it back to the tech another time, what can I do to adjust the problem out?

BTW, the D'Addarios sounded the best, but the E (1st) string was made out of glass and broke soon. The Ernie Balls just did not cut it either. Next on the list is GHS Boomers, Progressives, and the B-52's made by Everly.

I'm thinking it's about the word "scoch". Like scotch. drinking. cheers.

A wee dram, is where we're going with this. But in my experience one always leads to another... What time is it?

(A moment later) oh, man, there's a website: weedram.co.uk !
