New "Used" Guitar Day

Fender Consumer Relations says it was "Born" on Feb 1996 and was a custom order that took two years to complete.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Needs a setup, tremolo bar is missing, and one of the hex bolt thingies at the bridge is almost stripped.

This is an early 1990s Set Neck Strat with Lace Sensors.

Pickups changed to Texas Specials/Duncan Trembucker in 1995.

It's not mint. There are some small nicks and blemishes and some minor belt buckle rash but it is in very good condition.

Another very rare instrument. I like the top, but I really don't like heavy paint on the neck. Too much of a Gibson sticky-like neck finish for me...

I don't even notice it. My thumb lightly resting on the back of a neck has never gotten stuck.

I started out with an early 80's Hardwood/cane wicker Mesa Mark IIb that I paid $1175 for. I traded the Mesa straight up for a '66 Princeton Reverb that was in excellent shape. I then traded the PR even for one of the Strats and a Guild D40 ( still kicking myself for that one ). Then I traded the D40 for yet another Strat ( turns out I suck on acoustic ). Put some bucks in the Strats on setup and minor repair then traded them both plus some cash for this guitar. I estimate that probably puts me at about $1500 - $1600 total invested.

I'm done trading - I'm not good at it.
