It sounds great too, the Kinmans kick butt, now I know why Gilmore put them in one of his!

This weekend my 10 year old nephew was visiting from across the state and I let him play this. He is learning on a baby squire strat. After messing with this I think he's ready for the big strat! Maybe a future hero in the making, and I can say I helped. Maybe he'll let his uncle jam with him when he hits the big time!

Wow, I would never think of putting black knobs on that guitar- but they look really sharp! Very nice man.

The sound is great, instead of getting Kinman's vintage pickups, I got his Woodstock 2's . They are a hotter sounding set, especialy the bridge. He calls it a P-85 because it's almost but not quite as hot as a P-90. The great thing is the push-push pot on the bottom tone control that is a blender with the neck pickup. When you kick that in with a tube screamer, look the hell out! One thing I notice is that any mistake you make is magnified because of these pickups. That's not such a bad thing though, it just makes you want to play better.
