Guitar looks decent enough to me, though I'd want to see the neck pocket, neck heel and pickup cavities before I'd say it was perfectly legit.

Your best bet is to approach Fender as to whether they will replace the decal. With the guitar being sold by someone who isn't an authorized dealer. You will not be classed as the original owner. I don't know if the decal deal extends to 2nd owners.

The Guitar Dater Project confirms it's: a guitar is from the U.S. Vintage Series
made at the Corona Plant (Fender), USA
in the Year(s): Cannot be determined from serial number,
however you can consult this chart showing the
corelation between serial numbers and dates found on the neck
Fender MIA RI Serial Number vs. Neck Date

With the Product Tag shown in the pic, you can take it to an Authorized Fender Dealer who can then order a new decal and afix it for you... at least here in the States, this service is Free except for any fee the Dealer themselves may charge.

There are also a number of sources for replica decals, but if yours is genuine, then I personally would want a real decal. It could get spendy if you don't have a Dealer close to you because it would involve you sendng your Guitar to them... Fender will not give you a replacement decal. There are a number of steps involved in this incl. taking pictures of the guitar at all angles and submitting these, along with the guitar to the dealer.

cheers!

Thanx... I was going to do a 12 Days of Christmas thing w/ my sig., but it's too much work uploading everything and such.

But, stay tuned... I do have several more Xmas sig. pics I'll swap as the month progresses...

You can't get one, but an Authorized Fender dealer may.
