Hey......everyone......I know the name is the same, from the last post, but the topics different. I decided to go with converting my old squire strat into a fender strat. and I found a list of things that i thought I liked...but tell me what you think......I want to keep it under $250...and so far I'm around $220.

Parts
-Lace Pick-Ups - $140 (or some used hot rods that i found for $50)
-New 2007 Maple Fender Strat neck - $66 Ebay (i don't like eBay but..it's just a squire)
- New Pickguard(white) - $14
- Fender Tuning Knobs - $27

What do you think??????? :?:

Unless you just like to tinker, why don't you save money and buy a Fender Strat. The MIM Strats are great guitars for not so much money.

I did this with one of my guitars. It was actually a fun project now the only thing squier about my guitar is the body. I put a Buddy Guy Signature Neck, Tex Mex Pickups Gold Fender Pick Guard and now it plays great. I ended up putting somewhere around $600 into a squier but it ended up being worth it in the end. Now its one of my favorite playing guitars of my collection.
