I was thinking that the "Bad Boy Blue" also was HSS and had the black painted headstock.

Not for the Bad Boy Blue.

Only the None More Black had the HSS pickups and matching head.

That is gorgeous! I don't remember the None More Black, but I do remember the Bay Boy Blue. These were issued at around the same time as the transparent red mahogany body FSR Stratocasters hit the Guitar Center stores. All three of them were made to American Deluxe specs.

Most of the GC models you will see are HSS, but some of them were SSS. All have the black headstock, LSR roller nut, but while the BBB and NMB have no fretboard inlays, the GC model has abalone dots.

These are my favourite Stratocaster models of all time, and comprise most of the features of my dream Strat, which would have the black headstock, the LSR nut, the non-lnlayed ebony fretboard, SSS pickups, and transparent finish (can't decide whether I like the red mahogany or the blue ash better). The only improvements I could see making are adding a black pearl pickguard (I have a thing for black pearl pickguards on transparent colored instruments), and I'd add a Fishman piezo bridge.

I suppose if I could track down two NMBs, a BBB, and a GC with SSS, I could swap the necks. :D

The question is how much more black can it be ... and the answer is none. None more black.

That would look great with all black hardware.

Awesome guitar. I would keep the chrome, though. It looks better to me than all blacked out.
