Someone sent me this email for my Strat:]

"Will you take 400?"

All I have to say is just wow. Why would you offer someone half of what they are asking for something? That's like something close you'd pay for a Mexican Strat not an American lol

If you lived close I'd work out a Trade. I have 3 Tele's and 1 Strat. really like the sienna sunburst. That would even up my arsenal. I've been looking to add a Gretch if I buy a new one. Never liked my Gibson's that much except for an old Flying V I had in the 70"s but it was only good for Gigging. I don't think you can have too many Fenders as they are all have a little different personality.

Yeah I live out in South Jersey lol The Sienna Sunburst and the parchment colored pickguard, trem cover on the back, neck inlays and knobs really make it beautiful. The ash was a big point for me too I love the look of that grain coming through the finish. The sound is great too those are the reasons why I jumped on it quick because other people were eyeballing it and I didn't wanna miss my chance ,but I should have waited :(

I've been on craigslist for years buying and selling ,but I've never gotten such a lowball offer. He may as well have asked "Can I have your American Standard Stratocaster for free?" lol

Go to GC and see if they have an old box that a strat or case came in to mail it.
+1

I know a couple of the guys at my GC very well and they are more than happy to drag out a box or two if I ask them. They are usually nice, double-strength boxes, too.

Yeah I threw one out like 2 weeks ago now I wish I kept it lol

I've sold guitars on Craigslist, and it is usually a nightmare. 2 years ago I was selling a 1995 Korean Epi Les Paul with Gibson pickups and vintage tuners, listed it for $500.00 a guy comes over, plays it and then tells me he will only pay $375.00. I said, "Goodbye." I still have it by the way. I sold a brand new Fender Gig Bag and listed it for $20.00 and was offered $10.00 for it. People think you're on the verge of starving.

I see many Mexican Strats and Teles on Craigslist for $350.00+. Well for $50.00 more I can buy a new one! I also see Americans going for outrageous prices. I paid $650.00 for my 99 American with the SKB Fender Case 3 years ago from a music store. I just saw one the person wanted $950.00 for the guitar!

But it's good to know that if I ever need a B.C. Rich Warlock guitar, I just can go to Craigslist and find one any day of the week!
