Hi everyone, I'm looking for the older style "split" Wilkinson roller nut as can been seen here on http://xhefriguitars.com/page2.html

Does anybody know if/where they can still be bought? I have a 1990 strat plus and I want to replace the nut on it with this kind.

Not that I know of for sometime now, I know Jeff Beck only uses them and has a private stash.

I have never bought one from here and the price is plain nuts! (Pun intended! ) The only other place I have seen these is on uPay (eBay) from time to time, but also very spendy. I have collected a bunch of standard Wilkinson nuts but no more split ones. Sorry!

Thanks for letting me know Xhefri! You're right, the price is down right silly.

Actually, I no longer seem to have a need for it. I have the regular wilkinson nut on my guitar and i thought that the split nut might better fit higher gauge strings but i found a set of strings that i like and seem to fit just fine.

Needless to say, i'm very pleased with the guitar! It's a 1990 strat plus deluxe and it's the best. It also has a Herb Gastelum neck on it.

Also, Xhefri, thanks for your website which has been a wealth of knowledge on these guitars.

Jeff has his main personal guitar fitted with that split roller nut since he had put a 1993 neck on it.
