Nice! My wife would never know what I'd want unless I told her. Wouldn't be a surprise then....

Is your Clapton Strat color the cooler silvery looking green or the older warmer green? My candy green is from '00 (last of the Lace Sensors) and seemed to have a golden hue to it when I first bought it (ordered from Fender through a dealer). Then one day I saw an '07 or '08 and it looked like it had a silver hue to it, which to me gave it a "cooler" appearnce.

Also how do you feel about difference between the Lace Sensors and the Noiceless pups?
Thoughts on this?

Paris...Chromeface addressed this question on another thread and it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw these photos. This guitar is definitely less bright than yours. As far as the LS's are concerned, does he have experience with them, I wonder?

Thanks ZZDoc. I thought this all seemed very familiar to me, but as I have the memory of a gold fish, well...

No prob-lem!! However, you might seek to have someone change the water in your bowl more often. That might help clear things a bit. BTW: it would be interesting to learn why they changed the pigments in the finish. Is it now closer to the color of a 7-Up bottle than before??

The Signature Series Strats are some of the Jewels of the Fender Line and to own one is really special !

It's even sweeter when given to you by your Sweetheart ! Something you'll truly enjoy for years to come !!

My wife and I don't do gifts at Christmas... well not exactly true....

Our Christmas gift every year is a 12-day trip to New Orleans for JazzFest every April. We rent a 200 year-old Creole Cottage a block from Frenchmen Street and a block outside the Quarter. Even though we fly for free, the Cottage, Festival, Music, Clubs and Restaurants are the equivalent of 3 or 4 standard Strats.

But, this past year was our 15th Wedding Anniversary and my wife really outdid herself:

Where in the World would we be without them.. ??

cheers!
