I saw a Mexican strat on craigslist but it has 22 frets. Did they make a Mexican with 22 frets? The picture of the headstock is blurry so I asked the seller what the serial number was.

The only 22-fret MIMs are the Blacktops.

The Mexico factory did a 22-fret Prodigy in the mid-to-late 1980s.

Unfortunately many craigslist and eBay advertisements are scams.

There's a lot of scammers who try selling fake Fenders.
