Okay, so I just swapped the Pickguard on my strat, it was originally white. I think I might switch it back or go for a different color . Let me know which one you think looks better.

Depends on what you're going for. White pickguard is a classic look. Tortoise shell to me is sometimes a bit much but with a Black guitar, I think it works. I'm pretty old school in my tastes, so if it was up to me, I'd go with the white one for the classic look...

I think the new one looks good. Give it some time. Myself I'd keep the tortoise guard and try it with black pickup covers and knobs.

I'm thinking I might order a black Pickguard with red border from Warmoth and swap the pickup covers and knobs with black ones. I think that would look pretty sweet. It would look something like this.

Hi Seanboy. I'm not really sure how my preference would be helpful but since you ask, my vote is for the black pickguard with the red border. I find it classy, elegant, and sexy.

Cheers!

The "Tuxedo" Strat is always a class act.

I've got a fair number of guitars with tortoise pickguards, but not a black one. I think the combo is a bit off. Pearloid is good, but not the red. Black on black is always good...

And I don't mind black pearloid on this one...

Your guitar would definitely have a "Clapton" feel and vibe with the black/white combo, especially with the Noiseless pickups!

We've seen that look on one of Xhefri's Strat Plus mods. Killer!! But your issues are the covers.

I personally think the tortise shell pickguards look like Fender is doing something awful with accordions in the back room. But since it is your guitar, hyou get to keep whichever one you like which will always be way more important than what I think! As it should be.

I went with mint green on a black strat similar to yours, but I must say that black with a red outline has a nice look to it.

This is the look I was going for, I bought a generic non fender branded tortoise shell Pickguard online. It ended up being a lot more red colored than I expected. I should have just spent the extra money and bought the Fender branded Pickguard to start with. This looks much better in my opinion..
