I was wondering what the neck and mid pickup height measurements are for a stock American Standard Start? If anyone knows I would be more than grateful :) I touched my pickup setting and it sounds fine ,but I want it back to the stock measurement because even though it sounds fine it sounds "off" if that makes sense?

Hi FenderAmericanTele.

In the Fender Strat Setup Guide you will find the suggested heights for various pickups. Please keep in mind that these are just suggestions, not NASA specifications. :)

The ideal height is what sounds best to your ears and this is determined to a great extent by your Strat, your amp, and how you play.

Cheers!

Thank you :) See I'm one of those people who likes to leave things alone ,but I was reading up on the "sweet spot" and was like why not? So I fiddled a bit against my better judgement and no matter what I get it to sound like I'm think " I feel like I fudged it up and it was probably better left alone." And since I don't think ahead I didn't measure what they were before. I have pictures ,but it's still just a ball park estimate without the measurements lol

Firstly you're very welcome.

Secondly, don't worry about fudging things up. Barring anything drastic or catastrophic - for example one too many turns of the truss rod - a Strat is designed to be taken apart, fiddled with, calibrated, then put back together. :)

Cheers!

Ah I leave that stuff to my trusted guitar luthier he is amazing at what he does :) I'm all about learning ,but on a $800-$1,300 guitar I'm all about not killing it xD
