Hi
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the Custom 69 Pickups?

Can you purchase the John Cruz pickups?

My rig consists of a Blues Jr with a CRex speaker also. I use a Line6 wireless system to my pedal board and have a Crybaby, Route 66, Green Screamer, Two Timer and a Boosta Grande. Hower what I did to the guitar itself I think give me a lot of versatility.

When I swapped out the pups I changed out all the electronics and instead of one of the tone pots, I added a blend pot. With that I can run the bridge only or mix in any amount of neck that I want in position 1. In position 2, I can run the bridge and mid only and mix in any amount of the neck. In position three I can run the mid only and mix in any amount of the neck etc etc. So my ability to mix different tones under a variety of circumstances is pretty much limited to my time to fiddle with the different mixes I can get.

Mainly, I run the bridge and neck together to get a Tele sort of sound when playing country licks.

The pickups take overdrive like a charm and sound great all around. I really enjoy having a better player play my guitar, someone with the tone in their hands. It really is a great sounding set up.

My co favorite pups are the CS Fat 50's in my American Standard. You can't go wrong with either set.
