I measure the nut width of my strat american special and it says 1-23/32" but I don't think this is the official nut width specification. The distance from low E to high E is 1-15/32" CL. I'd like to know what this nut width would be referred to in guitar specifications because it's a little tight for my fingers and I certainly would never want to buy another guitar with anything less. Also what are the variations in the industry between specs and actual measures? Thanks a meg.
