Hey, this is the 2nd brand new Hot rod 57 I purchased, took out of box- plugged in and tons of hum/noise..ect, had same exact issue with the same model (new) a year ago, could not find the culprit, tech checked it as well, ground wire is on. I have other guitars that are dead quiet.
I will be contacting fender to see what they say as well,

thanks,

What's happened with other guitar same model a year ago ? fix or sell it ?

Other guitars you have ; wich model ? Fender ? with humbucker or not ?

And the store you buy it , what they said about ? It is on waranty ? Is it their tech look at your guitar ? Are you sure this tech is qualified ?

I had dozens of guitars in my possession and have a few left as well, none are as noisy as this-
here is the thing- I asked the dealer to send me a replacement- and its the exact same thing!
I own a new 2012 deluxe strat with singles, and its dead quiet,
There is static/noise/crackling on the 57, it goes away when touching the strings, between having contact on the metal and not, you get crackling sounds, not pleasant.
maybe thats how they all are, the true test would be to totally switch the pickguard for lets say one of those dimarzio prewired ones and see if there is a diff.

I would like to have from anyone else who has the HR 57,? pleez

Do you try another but good guitar same amp same room ?

Seem a ground is missing/ bad connexion on bridge. Do you have a test meter ? On Ohms scale , one probe to the bridge other probe on metal jack = 0 ohms = good . Fews hundred ohms and more = ground problem.

You try another one ; same noise . Ist it the same bach of defective guitars because new worker at Fender ?

Sure these guitars ARE DEFECTIVE.

I have same issue as

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYILnoWGtNs

I did not however try a battery powered source but would bet that would solve this, something in the electric current is buggy with the electronics...

I look at the video and listen , Wiring is a mess and guitar is defective ; ground problem, bad solder on / in pickups, or elsewhere .

My experience;
I have same problem on a second hand telecaster , I check everything all ground was ok , check both pickups with tester all test OK.

I just reheat solder on neck pickups; no more noise . Don't forget all pickups play great before. I just have noise like in video.
