My local GC has a whole bunch of the Fender family priced with Instant Rebates now - everything from Pawnshop Series to Americans to Special Editions!

I just broke down and bought a Special Edition swamp ash Strat in trans-amber finish - Noiseless pickups at neck and middle and a Fender zebra humbucker at the bridge, with battery-powered Mid Boost to boot! It was originally at $799, reduced briefly to $649 and then I saw it three days ago hanging there with an Instant Rebate and a price of $499!

I couldn't resist and I've been telling myself No More Strats! Pics to follow when and if it quits raining outside.
