I just noticed that the strat powerhouse comes with a "dummie coil under the pickguard for hum cancellation".

I have a strat that has the '54 pickups that sound great but really hum badly.

Does anyone know where I can get a pickguard like this with the hum canceling properties?

I'm not sure where to buy the Powerhouse set up, but Lindy Fralin makes a back plate that works using the same theory. I haven't tried one, but their products are always great. The only problem with them is cost. I think the back plate will set you back a couple of hundred dollars US. That doesn't include installation either, but from what I understand the included installation instructions are pretty easy to navigate. Good luck.

Point of information on this guitar:

The first Buddy Guy Signature Series Stratocaster had this powerplant. It had a maple neck, a blond (almost Mary Kaye) finish with a tortoise shell pickguard, three white covers, white controls and a 12Db circuit. It didn't hang around long and I could never find one at a dealer but I really wanted one of those back then....15 years....at least.

Then he copped into Clapton's setup and that's the way its been since.
