59 body (07/59 stamped), 64 neck and 3 single coils... What do folks reckon is a ball park figure for something like this?

Do you really think this is the best place to ask?

Contact a reputable vintage dealer.

If you can't trust Elderly or Gruhn to value your guitar, then I don't know what to tell you.... maybe just do an eBay search.

Nobody at Fender is going to value your vintage guitar: they're in the business of selling new ones. There are a couple of collectors on this forum, but they can't value your guitar without seeing it.

So a good dealer is your best bet.

A ballpark range is $10K to $40K.

Was the neck a documented factory replacement?

The "story" and condition is important.

My guess is it is worth about $200. I will give you $500 for it to make it worth your time. :D

I'd leave FMIC out of the equation as they are new equipment manufacturers and like any new equipment manufacturer, they really don't appraise even their own historical stuff.

Here's the way I figure it, there's two ways you can look at this:

You'd have to go to a major guitar show where guaranteed, many of the dealers there are literally the ones who create the "Blue Book" prices. Naturally, they are all among each other and will all be saying pretty much the same thing. They would probably put the highest price tag on it as not only can they afford to pay you NEAR what they deem it to be worth, but they have exclusive customers usually in waiting who will pay the whatever prices they establish for such things because of blind trust for these dealers' self-proclaimed expertise.

On the other hand, sidestepping the aforementioned clique, oftentimes, following similar items on e-Bay is your best bet simply because it is more of a reflection on what the general populace is willing to, or can afford to pay for such things.

In your situation, because the guitar, albeit quite valuable, is not all original, selling it in parts on e-Bay will probably bring you more than the whole, especially if certain people are only looking for certain things from certain years for restoration purposes. And yes, the aforementioned clique follows e-Bay too as they are always looking for 'bargains' for any or all of the above reasons even though they are the ones who inflate the market.
