CA Feathers-since you like Tommy Castro (I do), He's playing this summer at the Sonora Blues Festival (In Sonora, CA). I go to that every year, and he plays up there a good part of the time. It's an all day blues festival with lots of artists.

Since you live in the Bay Area, just thought you might be interested. Info on that event is www.fireonthemountain.com .

Thanks. We may have to check that out.

We just missed seeing Tommy over in Fairfield a month or so ago.

Without any doubt: Rory Gallagher

Rory Gallagher is the most versatile of the GREAT, GREAT guitarists. I said it before and will say it again and again. If you have never heard of him,
pick up the April ' 08 Guitar Player - page 92 and READ it for yourself !!
Go on... don't take my word or anyone elses. He was a awesome acoustic, electric and slide guitarist who was an excellent harmonica player, saxophonist, mandolinist and sitar player who sang, wrote and produced his material.

GUITAR PLAYER - APRIL 2008 - PAGE 92 ............ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been going for the past four years, and it's been a great festival to go see. I'll probably get some ticket's soon for this year's event. Great lineup this year. You can check out the lineup on the website. Tommy Castro has made it for about the last two out of three years, now he's back again this year. He also plays from time to time at the Black Oak Casino in Sonora a couple of times a year........and....It's free!
