The out of focus strat is cool. I've always liked those pics that make the neck look like it's about a mile long!

Here's a project for those with time on their hands.....How about The Forum's version of the company's well worn ad bit:

"You won't want to part with yours either" ??????

Note: If you notice this is a Squier and not a Fender Strat, you need help. ;)

Uhmmm......I can see where this might be considered consistent with observations made, on another thread, regarding the current generation.
It certainly fits the mission statement I suggested. The one thing I have been unable to figure out for years now is why guitar manufactureres still need to resort to the depersonalization of women into sexual objects in order to merchandize product. Nor, why a segment of the female population continues to consistently buy into this to their own ends.

Doc :(

Oh man, it's not NEARLY limited to guitar manufactures. :)

Beer, clothes, cars...you name it, if they want a guy to buy it, they'll put a hot chick next to it.

Although with guitars, it was guys like Jimi, Eric, and Keith who made me want a Fender. None of them (especially Keith) were that cute. ;)

FWIW, that image was not put out by Fender. (Even if they occasionally do put a Fender in the hands of a cute girl and take a pic.)

Doc :([/quote] Oh man, it's not NEARLY limited to guitar manufactures.

Your point is well made and an issue which most of us are well aware. I am, never-the-less, chagrined that merchandising in this industry cannot be totally above it.

I suppose that the reality of 'sex, drugs and rock 'n roll' is yet not lost on Madision Avenue, which still sees a market in merchandising through its siren's call.
In sobering reality however, society, and this industry in particular, has paid a terribly price for its alure, and I sadly, have a higher level of expection from it than it is apparently able or willing to deliver.

Doc
