Great family!

Looks like the front-and-center is a midnight wine. I used to have one and regret selling it, such a fantastic color...

Hey Skelefish, it is a red sparkle finish HSS. It is kinda unique, as I have been trying to find out about it. I wonder if it was a FSP color??????

The 72'Re-Issue Stratocaster I bought new in 1988 at a place called Zapf's music in Pennsauken NJ. I bought it because of the finish. I immediately swapped the stock pick-ups for a set of EMG-SA actives and controls. Had I known the guitar would have some collectability, I would have kept the stock pick-ups, but I sold them. Oooops! Back in 1988, Fender Japan guitars were not highly prized like they are now becoming. I wish EMG made white pick-up covers to complete the look. I am thinking about installing a set of Custom shop 1969 pups, but the EMGs sound soooo good it is hard to remove them. I would like to find a blue flower 72"RI model Strat to have a nice set. Someday.............
