Hi All:

I took delivery of another 2008 Am Std Strat, and I'm sending this one back too. The first one had intonation issues and found the nut was too high on the low E, thereby making intonating it impossible. Retunred it, (thank you GC) and ordered another from a different vendor, and this was tuned up perfectly, but sounded lifeless. Changed the strings too! I've never experienced anything like this. I have a CP60's to use as a point of referance, of sorts. The fist one with inntonation problems blew away the CP60 tone-wise, but it just would not tune-up correctly. And the latest one sounded lifeless, dull, and muffled, compared to the CP60. Is this possible? I'm batting two for two. I really love this guitar, the neck is my perfect fit; but I don't think I'm being too unreasonable, right?

Thanks for reading!
