A semi-hollow Strat, huh?

Sounds like a very cool idea. Although, I do see one hurdle in the design; how to cap a body with a thin piece of wood after routing some cavities and still maintain all of the body contours on the top of the guitar.

Otherwise, it would end up looking like a Stratacoustic.

But a very cool idea none the less.

Warmoth does it. Look:http://www.warmoth.com/guitar/bodies/strat.cfm?fuseaction=strat_hollow
Personaly,I'd love to see nut width options.Fender did this on some models in the sixties,I think. Make mine extra wide, please.

the thinline's kinda started the semi-hollows.
I think they shouldn't stray away too much from their original design, it just takes away the classic feel of a strat.
