Maybe try an Orange Drop cap from Callaham.

Would this give me a better tone than the standard cap? and these would still be the .022 rating right?

Better caps will give you a better tone.

I recommend contacting www.rsguitarworks.com and check out their caps.

I contacted RS and they said to use the .047 Jensen or the .1 Luxe 57-58 phonebook. I've heard that the higher ratings make the sound higher pitched or shrill is this true? How do the ratings relate to the tone?

If Roy said that's the ones for you to use then he is probably right. Roy knows his stuff. Roy would also be the one to ask about higher pitched or shrill. I almost always screw up the technical jargon on caps.

Exactly. It's better than explaining it wrong too.

Since your a WD music products dealer I thought i'd ask if the vintage tremolo's will fit on a MIM deluxe players strat body.

Caps of the same value differ greatly in tone depending on their makeup (paper in oil, ceramic, mylar)

A larger value will roll off more high end even when the pot is at 10 (unless you have a no-load pot which isn't likely).
I like the Vitamin Qs. The vintage ones sound the best, but the new AP ones are not bad.
If you don't want to spend a lot of money, the Orange Drops are the best bang for the buck.
