I'd been using steel bullets because that's what was on it when I bought it used and just kept getting the same strings for the past year. I just loaded some Original Nickel Wound 3150Ls on my Strat because that's all they had in stock (bullet wise). I don't think it's my imagination because I didn't know that there'd be a difference. Oh yeah there's a difference. I'm not going back to steel. Nickel feels and sounds better. IMO.

And then to read what Murdochart (hope I got that right) said about fret wear puts icing on the cake because as we discussed in a thread a couple of weeks ago (started by me) fret wear can get expense when you have to have your frets dressed or, heaven forbid, refretted.
