Not 100% but isn't the olympic white 'woodstock' strat the one he painted for the Montery festival?

No no no no no. You're thinking of the one that he BURNED and never used again. The Woodstock strat is something COMPLETELY different. :D

I read a long time ago in one of the Guitar Player Hendrix tribute issues that Hendrix put a small file mark at the 16th fret for the string rattle on Foxy Lady. The info came from his guitar tech. He also rebent the tremolo arm.

the monterey strat was originally fiesta red and he sprayed some white on it and handpainted acid-inspired designs on it. he also burned it. the woodstock one, i believe was stock except for the strap button.
