I do a lot of my own repairs and mods. And I have done repairs for others.

Yes, one guitar tech here. As a grad' of Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery, I have been working as a guitar tech for various clients for about 15 years +. Besides word-of-mouth, many of my clients/customers are refered to me by sound and production companies who wish to provide guitar tech services to their major clients.
One of the benefits is that you get to play and work some really great guitars. Also, one learns very quickly what is practical in the real world and what is just ad hype as far as guitars and related equipment goes.

I've been tinkering with guitars about all my life and was just curious if there was anyone here that does it for a living / hobbyist , whatever..

I was telling in another thread about putting the SD little 59 in bridge position with Texas Specials in mid and neck ,, Had some tonal issues and SMark suggested a possible phase difference..He was right.
First , I wired the 59 series/ split/ series parallel .
When I rewired I exchanged the green ( ground ) and black ( hot ) Tone is great but again have a problem..
When the volume push/pull is pulled and pup selector is in bridge position I have no sound. Nothing , NADA ,,no hum no nothing.

any suggestions ?
