Has anyone had this problem ...I have an American Deluxe Strat with the noiseless pickups in it. I noticed the magnets "moved" from the last time I changed strings. Some moved "into" the pickup, some moved "up"... I leveled them by gently tapping them level to the top of the plastic. Sure enough, they seemed to move again. Some actually sunk below the top surface of the plastic. I emailed Fender Tech support, but never got a reply from them. Finally I tapped them back where I wanted them and put a small dab of super glue, and that stopped it. Is it just some freak magnetic phenomena, or do I have bad pickups or WTF???? They sound just great, BTW....Just wondering if anyone else ever observed this strange movement.

I just opened up the case of my American Deluxe Strat. The magnets on the 1,2,3, and 6 strings are flush with the pickup covers of all three pickups. The magnets under the #4 string is raised on all three pickups, and the magnet under the #5 string is only slightly raised above the pickup cover on all three pickups.

I've only had this guitar for two months and I never really paid attention to the height of the magnets, so I don't know they've moved or that is they way they were originally..

That isn't the magnets themselves moving, it is the whole pick up. You could try and replace the rubber sleeve (gasket) that covers the adjustment screw, it is what gives tension between the pickup and the pickup cover.

I think he's talking about the individual pole pieces.

Yes, it is the individual poles that are moving, well not since I super glued them, that is....I just never saw such a thing in the 30 plus years I have been playing.

I had a real cheap Aria tele copy years ago used it as a stage flash paper gimmic and the single coils on it I coud push the poles down. I would take it apart every now and then and push them back up. This was before I knew the importance of the staggerd poles and yeah I know it wasn't a fender just saying that I have seen this happen before

Perhaps the material surrounding the poles shunk over time.

I don't think so, it's only about 4 years old. I just never saw such a thing in all my years of playin' and Fender doesn't respond to my inquiries. I never saw magnets "move" in any guitar....BTW, it's not my "eyes" I showed my band at practice, and they saw it too. Not actually "saw" them move, but they had moved by the end of practice....
