Must be a Fender thing at the moment - I bought two packs of Fender acoustic strings recently (not my usual brand, but I don't bother putting anything decent on the rough old cheapie acoustic which gets taken camping, etc  ), one pack had no bottom 'E', instead it had two 'A's. The other pack had all six, but the low E was so badly wound (the windings were visibly wobbly) as to be utterly unusable, it just sounded muted and almost distorted. Bizarre.

I like the bullets. Regular strings get stuck in my guitar. The bullets slide right out. I think there's something to the extra mass thing too, but it's mainly for ease of string changes that I use them.
