Came across an MIK in my favorite color, yellowish/cream w/ rosewood
She seems to be without structural damage, body/neck, but the body finish is messed up, scratches, scuffs and rubbing marks. Some slight corrosion on switch and poles, can be taken care of. She needs a lot of cleanup, but that's ok. The tuners feel awkward though.
I noticed the body contours are different and the fretboard radius is flatter, but she sounds appealing!! Nice, mellow Strat sound. I wonder what they put in there? They do sound like Alnicos.

The serial # is CN207147. GC asking $200.- plus tax & license, puh ...

I'm looking to get some GrandMaster opinion, PLEASE!

I didn't know they did a Martin Luther King Signature Strat.. !!

"Judge a Man not by the Color of his skin, but by the content of his Guitar Case..."

j/k... ;)

Hey, if it has 6 strings, plays well and was good enough to catch your eye...

and all they want are a couple C's for it...

No-Brainer !!

cheers!

I like your thinking.
She did catch my eye, although I prefer guitars in better condition. But since "relic" is in fashion, what the heck!
On the flipside, there is some info I came across: CN2 + Plywood body. I dunno if I can stomach that!
It's a Squier Series, that may not be too bad, but considering all things, GC is over-charging on that one ....

IMO, the Korean Squiers are some of the best made. I had a "Pro Tone" once, trans blue, pearloid pick guard, gold hardware, really nice guitar. I put gold lace sensors in it and it had a great sound.

Well,

Can you clean it up and recover most of your money down the road if necessary..??

Got to be a pretty sorry Stratocaster, even a Squier, that's not worth $200.

And, hedge your bet, offer GC $175 !

cheers!
