Mijlanpravnik...It all appears to be correct for that model. The MIM ones didn't have stars on the fretboards as I remember.

Correct -- on both counts.

The USA-made version also featured three Hot Noiseless pickups and the 12-dB onboard pre-amp a la the Deluxe Powerhouse and Buddy Guy signature guitars.

Actor John Seda used a MIA Sambora Strat when he played the role of Selena's lead guitarist in the bio-pic "Selena".

You just heard from two of the most reliable sources on this board - if you want the guitar and the price is right, get it!

Thanks, Dennis......we do our best.

I visually compared the OP's pics to the guitar shown in the 1999 Frontline catalog (volume 27) and the features and details match perfectly. And Tony used to sell Fenders down in Florida so I'm certain he's qualified to identify a specific Stratocaster model.

Thanks Dennis and Arjay...yeah every once in a while a model will slip by me, but for the most part, I get em right. I really wish Fender would have continued the Frontline, it is a great reference, maybe in the future they will expand the New Fender Magazine to include more reference material, but I doubt it since everything seems to be on this newfangled web stuff.
