Hi All - I recently bought a 2012 mint* rosewood burst used HSS cheap. I would prefer SSS with rosewood but they don't make one and the price was right. *The down side is the previous owner did some ugly rewiring primarily with the bucker. Question 1, I get some severe buzzing when I touch the middle pickup's outer pole pieces. I assume I have a ground problem particularly looking at the wire job, but thought I would throw it out there for comment. Question 2, I am going to switch over to SSS and need a bridge pickup. Recommendations? The matching TS is crazy expensive and doesn't get much good press around here. I don't require boutique. I am considering a twang banger for some tele versatility or a basic duncan single for basic strat tone. And I have a PRS with HBs so I don't need to keep the stock setup. I bought this as a project. Thanks in advance.

You might opt for a Fender Tex-Mex bridge pup... or something beefier from the Dimarzio family of pickups, Dimarzio's run anywhere from $65-$75 new, cheaper used.... a used Tex-Mex could probably be had for $25-30... new, maybe $40... these are all guesses.
