There has been a couple of Hendrix strats already but they cant make them anymore problems with the Hendrix estate or something

Actually, Fender could get probably right around that. They could come out with NOS Strat models of any of the years 67 through 70. The only variation would be that the tremolo arm would have to be straightened to agree with you know who's preference; string it lefty for the purists. Fender could then call it, "The Monterey Strat" or "The Woodstock Strat" based on the year and the body color/fingerboard combo. Everyone would know what Fender's getting at.

they could do a custom shop tribute to hendrix. but i think that signature models should be restrained to living guitarists.

there are one tribute guitar to hendrix out in this moment its called 60's reversed strat and its made in mexico....

I don't think there's a such thing as too many signature guitars on the market. But I have a problem with "WHO" the signature guitars are for. Hendrix should have a premanent signature on Fenders list at all times, if the estate won't let them, then oh well. It should be like SRV's, available all the time.

I can think of a few guitarists that deserve signatures and don't have them. On the other hand I can think of a few that don't deserve one but have them anyway. Not just Fender either, I'm talking about all brands.
