Everybody has their favorites, the Strat is such an everyman's guitar. I would never get too wound up on sound as much as I would on how it feels. Sound can always be altered one way or another!

I got the American deluxe with the HSS, the s-1 does nothing for me, I really like the roller nut. I suck as a player, but the American deluxe plays great and sounds amazing with an amp or with out

Hey, just a quick thought/question about the classic series.

Could I replace the tuners with those of the classic player?
(Which I think is the gotoh locking tuners)

Also, would it be worth doing the same with the bridge? Or is it too risky as the classic has a 6 vintage trem bridge and the classic player has a 2 point trem?

I suppose you could hotrod it anyway you wanted to. What's your dissatisfaction here? Each of these guitars has a different vibe.
