Yup, I have a set in my 64/65 strat "clone"... I love them. I ordered mine with aged magnets for a slight upcharge. I can't say if it's purely cosmetic or there's a tonal difference but I'm sure they'd be happy to answer that for you if you shoot them an email... they have great customer service! I don't know what to really sat about them other than that I'd install them in another strat project or replace these if something happened to them. The guitar itself is an MJT body and neck, and the neck is FAT, which no doubt affects the tone too... as any number of other factors do. You can check out my YouTube videos of me playing it though none were designed to be demos of the pickups per say... I posted links to all of them so you won't have to sort through all of them on YouTube. Anyhow, hope this is helpful.

Thanks a million JamGuy ... nice videos too ... so would you say they're in between 54's and 69's. I had a CS 69's a few years back but they were too dark for me. 54's are great but I would like to have some more "meat" in the output... seems like the Klein 65's are a good option in this case.

I can't compare the Kleins to 54's or '69's having never tried them... have you considered Fender Fat '50's? They might have the extra oomph you're looking for w/ the same tone as the '54's. Again, I've no experience using them so can't say for sure. In any event, I really like my Klein's... they do custom winds too, based on your suggestions, so that may be an option for you. I'd contact them directly if you're set on Kleins... I'd imagine all of their pickups are top notch based on the set I have and from listening to the sound clips on their page.
