However my friend Brian has a Gibson Les Paul Custom (his fam. is rich) that cost around 10 grand

My MIM Special Run Ash Strat at $410 (not counting the 3 DiMarzios at $65 a pop in it). It outplays and outsounds any Strat I've ever owned. And yes, I can afford all the high end American stuff if I wanted it too.

I bought a Martin 0-15 on Ebay a few months back for 2100 dollars. It is a really nice guitar. It's a little more than I wanted to pay but I think in the long run it was worth it.

Yeah this thing has solid gold humbuckers, tuners, basically whatever could be made gold is gold lol. He also has a Marshall amp worth over 2 grand.............lets just say I like going over to his house :D

$800 for my Surf Green Highway One... they go for $900 and I got a new Fender case.

I seriously doubt if it has solid gold anything. LP Customs do come with gold plated hardware an have an MSRP of just over 5K, which would probably cost about 3K in stores.
