I collect 1995-96 Limited Edition American Standard Stratocasters with matching headstocks. I love the looks of these guitars though the neck profile is rather narrow. The 6 colors are burgundy mist, olympic white, lake placid blue, candy apple red, surf green and ocean turquoise. Is any one else familiar with these guitars? They were a limited production with each color made for 6 months (over an 18 month period) then discontinued. I'm seeing one in the wild frontier (eBay) with a pearliod pickguard and trem plate. Wondering if anyone knows whether that was an option originally back in 1995. I'm thinking it was a user modification. Any help is appreciated[/b]

Hey there, this might be late but I'll chime in anyway.

I am familiar with these guitars since I own one in Lake Placid Blue and my brother owns one in Candy Apple Red, I believe. (We both bought them at the same time.)

Anyway, in both of our cases, the guitars came with a standard white pickguard.

Again, you probably found the answer by now, but just stumbled upon this...
