So I got a 1995 Fender Stratocaster "Squier Series" guitar for $160. On the headstock, it says Fender in big letters, and Squier Series in little letters at the end. I attached a link to a picture of the headstock at the bottom The guy I bought it from replaced the pickguard, pickups, tuners, electronics, bridge, tremolo, and all of the pots and knobs. He replaced them with Fender Standard tuners, Fender Standard bridge with tremolo, two Fender Standard single coils and one humbuckers, and higher quality nobs and pots. So how good if a deal did I get?

Heres the link to a picture of a headstock that looks exactly like mine.

Maybe not a bad price, depending on your area. I bought one a few years ago for $75 that came with a red label Fender hardshell case. I kept the case and sold the guitar for $125, but I see people trying to sell guitars like that for $300 on the local CL, but they seem to sit on there a long time.

I agree, not bad at all. The Mexican Squiers from that time period are very good guitars, great feel and good sound. The only decent upgrade that you really got was the tuners. The rest of the parts that were replaced were nearly identical to the stock parts.

I had a '96 MIM Squier (not the "Squier Series" but very similar), and the only "upgrade" that I felt it needed was the tuners. I installed the vintage style, had to drill out the holes a bit.
