I picked up this Blacktop (new) and replaced the pick guard, knobs, Floyd and nut as well as the pickups (Motor City Hot Head and 2 Suhr singles).

It has become an amazing guitar. Love it!!!

Hi Mark Day,

Killer! What a great job, you absolutely nailed it. I got the same chills as I do when I listen to the original, and had to listen twice. This is one of my favorite Journey songs, and Neil Schon is one of my favorite guitar players. The summer of 1981, when that album came out, was a great time in my (younger) life and that song always brings back wonderful memories (girlfriend of course). Thanks for sharing that. :D BTW, nice guitar.
