hey i just got my first strat it's a mim sunburst. any advice for a beginner player and strat owner would be appreciated.

If you keep playing, never sell it. If you do, no matter how good of a guitar you get, you will want it back. The first guitar is like a childhood friend. you will get nostalgic for it.

My advice is to play long, play hard, and try not to spend so much time trying to sound like someone else.

You havent all my dum posts about my bridge problems like this one Im a new fender owner IMPOTANT!!
Well anyways I got that problem fixed.Its just my action on my strings is to high.

Tim,

Congratulations on your new Strat. The MIM's are really great guitars. You made a wise choice on that. I'm sure you're going to love it. And like PsychMusic said, never sell it. It will probably be your "go to" guitar for years.
