2 years ago, I brought a used US Stratocaster in a blue colour, Seriel No. N505636 for £800 which seemed reasonable for a US model. The guitar shop where I purchased it is renowned for its quality and standards (although I have felt 'short-changed' on a few occasions I have used the shop)
What my concern is that the whammy bar has been replaced by a Floyd Rose II whammy, which he assures me go for £200........
Have I been 'done', or is this the case, that a Floyd Rose has made my guitar 'better'?
I have a Floyd Rose on my Washburn SS-40 Steve Stevens model, and its blinding.........BUT Washburn over Fender? Thats just not on!

Some people really love Floyds; to them this would be an enhancement. To those who don't use them or like them then it would certainly not be any advantage.

When you say "Floyd Rose II" I'm assuming you mean the die cast version of the Floyd Rose (with locking nut, etc.) made by Schaller (these used to say "Floyd Rose II" where they now say "Schaller" in that oval on the bass side of the bridge):

I ask because some people lately have taken to calling the "Fender/Floyd Rose" bridges from the 1990s "Floyd Rose II"s when they are differnt bridges. The Fender/Floyd, which was later just called the "Locking Trem" does not have fine tuners and is actually a drop-in replacement for the regular Fender 2-post trem:
