Yes - i own one - think it is a 2007. Love it - despite the color (fiesta red !) which I don't really like . That tells a lot how much I love the guitar itself. No need for mods , according to my taste . Perhaps the PUPs could have had a bit more output , but I like it . I think the pups have the ''right'' sound - quite versatile. The soft V-neck is a pleasure to play . Enjoy :D

I bought a first-year issue (1998) '50s Classic Strat in 2TSB when they first came out and it remains a great guitar. They're easily upgradable to near-Leo specs merely by changing out the bridge assembly to a MIA version with the steel trem block. Add a set of 57/62 pickups and it becomes the relative equivalent of an AVRI (aside from the MIM guitar's polyester finish).

I owe one of those. It's a lake placid blue model, built in 2002.
Now the color is aged white, with many scratches, a mint white pickguard, and I've also added a set of 54' Custom Shop pickups.
I've changed the electronic inside too, i have to admit. Volume and tones. For a better bunch of sounds. Even if finally, i play most of the time on the neck bridge.

The varnish on the neck has many scratches too, and at some places, there is only wood left.

I've replaced the frets twice.

It's such a beautiful and perfect instrument ! I definatly love it !
Unfortunatly, this guitar and my old amp have been stolen last year in the south of France, and i'm now looking for something to replace it. But i still haven't found what...

That was just to say how good is the Classic 50'.
