maple neck has a nice sexy look to the black/white body. enjoy man.

So the used strat was taken in for an action set up. Turns out there is major issues with string buzzes at the saddles. The luthier set everything up to spec, and in order. He cannot figure outmwhere the buzzing is coming from internally. 4 strings are doing it even with only mild strumming.

So he reckons that was likely the reason the guitar was traded in.... So I leveraged the GC return policy, and they cut me a deal on a New American Standard in Sunburst... Pictures to follow...

Was looking for a 2012 and had been shopping. Was playing one a month ago at a GC and looked up and saw a sunburst hanging there, 2011 AmStd rosewood, which is what I was looking for to sell my maple neck AmDlx, brand new for $789. Best neck I had played and liked the Alnico5's better than the Fat Fifties on the 2012. Came home with it. Looks like they are moving out the 2011's, grab em while you can.

Welcome to the world of a Strat, Yes if the bridge is floating especially with only 3 springs will be sensitive to the touch. And when you tune you have to go through each string several times as changing the tension on one changes the tuning on the others. Once you learn to deal with it it's no big deal and even without the trem arm you can use your palm to grab the bridge and do some slight effects. I don't play a trem arm myself and just use my palm.

But then I usually lock my bridges down and put 2 more springs in. I also use locking tuners, which will be going on my new 2011 when Santa comes :D . Some say it changes the tone a little and the strings don't fell the same but I don't notice it so much.
