Nice strat, you think they would clean it up a little. Too bad the tuners aren't original.

I hope the guys who intentionally relic a guitar see what an actual relic looks like.

You know it is real "Relicing" by that name tag made from a Dymo Label :!:

Yikes that thing needs to stripped and refinished with a proper poly coat so it never happens again!

Why not just save some time and throw thousands of dollars out the window. If real, refinishing would drastically lower the value of the guitar.

I wouldn't refinish it, give it a good wipe down, put some new strings
and play that guitar.
That is one beautiful looking stratocaster .

That guitar is perfect, dust and all.

Thanks for sharing!

Compared to the one a guy I know down here is still gigging with, it's got a 'perfect' finish. He's using his Dad's. The finish is completely off both the body and neck and not by choice....by use.

Can not imagine anyone would even think to refinish a guitar like that. That would KILL the value and kill the guitar.
Cheers 8)

On a second glance, that's also the nicest sunburst finish I have ever seen.

I hope y'all realize that anyone talking about refinishing this guitar is joking. No one would touch this thing. I'm not sure I would even want to play it; might drop it or something.

When I was young, way back in the late 60s, this was just considered an old guitar. In the 70s it was a nice old guitar. In the 80s things got a little hotter. Now, it is vintage, holy grail.

I recently purchased a 91 american standard and,to me, it is as fine a guitar as any of these old guitars, nice old guitars or even the holy grail.

Like this, a Strat is respected, as an old lady, and we must meet at least the designer through it! and nobody could do better so far!
She's like a grandmother, damaged by time, but full of memories and a desire to live
